Format

9 Hole Tuesday Events

• 9 Hole Net Match Play– Tuesdays
  • Members have the chance each week to participate and earn points.
  • Weekly Low Net will receive a $20 Baltimore County Gift Card.
  • Opponents will be selected at random each week depending on participation.
  • We will do our best to provide different opponents each week.
  • Handicaps will be adjusted to the course’s slope and rating.
  • Handicaps will be provided on the match up sheet the day of the event.
  • Tie Breaker will be decided based on a score card playoff beginning with most difficult ranked hole.

• Weekly Points Distribution:
  • Participation: 100 points
  • Match Victory: 250 points
  • Overall Low net scores:
    • • 1st -150 points
      • 2nd -100 points
      • 3rd -50 points

18 Hole Major Events

• 18 Hole Team Net Best Ball – Saturdays
  • The Mid and End of Season 18 Event will be played on Saturdays
  • Teams will be selected at random each event depending on participation.
  • Handicaps will be adjusted to the course’s slope and rating.
  • Each member of the winning team receive a $10 Gift card to Golf Galaxy.
  • Tie Breaker will be decided based on a score card playoff beginning with most difficult ranked hole.

• Major Event Points Distribution:
  • Participation: 100 points
  • Team Low net scores:
    • • 1st -300 points
      • 2nd -200 points
      • 3rd -100 points

Prizes

• Weekly and season standings will be updated and posted to the website on a weekly basis.
• Weekly winner will receive their $20 Baltimore County Course Gift card at the following weeks event.
• Member with most points at the end of the season will receive individual Trophy and Name will be placed on perpetual Plaque!

Costs

• Individual - $100
• Group 4+ - $90 each
• Payment due at the first event. Checks payable to "Baltimore Engineers Golf League" or "BEGL".
• Greens Fees - Mt. Pleasant
• Greens Fees - Diamond Ridge
• Greens Fees - Foxhollow

Rules

• Traditional USGA rules shall govern.
• Courses “Local Rules” shall be in effect at all times. See the back of the score card for a complete list. Exception is Daimond Ridge “Conservation Areas” will be played as a later hazard with red stakes (USGA Rule 26)
• Verified Handicap must be presented at first event. If non exist please bring your last 5 scorecards and one will be given to you.
• Handicaps will be adjusted per weekly league scores.
• Handicaps Indexes will be updated at the end of every month.
• While not required, it is encouraged to post any rounds played out side of the league to the handicap database.
• Upon receipt of payment you will receive your handicap username and password.
• If anyone person or group of persons suspect to handicap fraud or manipulation shall be dealt with by the handicap committee and may result in removal of weekly prizes and or disbandment from the league with no refund.
• Each group will keep 2 score cards to verify scores at the end of each round.
• Only one card is required to be turned in at the end of the round.
• Everyone will play standard men's or women's tees.
• Finish out every hole ... No "gimmes"
• Play a provisional if location of the ball is in question.
• If there is a ruling issue play 2 balls and it will be resolved by a member of the BEGL staff.
• Maintain your pace of play and be mindful of those playing behind you
• Players must sign up for a tee time each week. Tee times are available on a first come first serve basis.
• Members must play in a minimum of 8 events throughout the season to be eligible for the title of Season Champion.
